Iglesia Románica - Barberá del Vallès, Barcelona
 

La Belleza del sencillo templo románico que todavía hoy acoge las plegarias y las celebraciones tristes o alegres de un buen número de fieles, evoca los tiempos antiguos de un pueblo pequeño y trabajador, -forzado seguramente por los feudales de turno- el cual ponía su vida y su trabajo bajo la advocación de una Providencia en la cual confiaba ciegamente.

The Romanican Church
The apse was built between the years 100 and 1090 thougt he aisle belongs to the 12th century. It is said to have been consacrated by Saint Oleguerr around he year 1116, and it was mentioned as a parish in the year 1143.
Part of its paintings, archives and object of worship were lost due to fires and plundering during the Spanish civil war. In 1946 the destruction caused by war was restaured, and in 1966 he damage done by dampness and lack of ventilation was repaired.
The fieze of round arcading an the chevron design around he tower outstand from sober decoration. It was built taking care of details controlling the combination of stones in two different tones very elegantly.
Its collection of mural paintings were made around the year 1200. Later on they were covered by plaster in order to imitate the typical ashlar of other artistic styles. They remained hidden behind Baroque and Renaissance altarpieces until the year 1919 when they were redescovered. They are composed by simple line figures related to each other in whole narrative scenes showing their feelings natural way.
